LIVING OUR LEGACY 2024!
October 22 is a significant day for Sigma Lambda Gamma sorority.
On October 22, 1989, a group of women gathered at the Chicano Native American Cultural Center to form an organization of Latina/Hispanic women at the University of Iowa.
Since then, the Education Foundation and the organization have grown to embrace, honor, and affirm members of all cultural backgrounds. Members who have continued to live out this legacy and create their own. It is with love we honor the group of 19 women and their work, and with love, we look forward to the future of this organization.
“Every Gamma. Every Year.”

Everywhere you go, you’re asked to round up or to add a dollar. Those micro donations add up to millions of dollars for charity. But here’s the thing, giving is personal, from the causes you care about, to the frequency and amount that’s right for you. Making change in the world is a reflection of who you are, we've partnered with an app that helps you express the change you want to see.
