CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY & EXCELLENCE!
SLGEF Board of Trustee
For the next couple of newsletters, we will be reintroducing our Board of Trustees for our new supporters, friends and family of the Foundation.
We begin with our Board of Trustee, Chair Dr. Sharazazi (Shara) Dyson (She/Her).
Dr. Dyson became a member of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. at DePaul University and earned her B.S. in Business Management. There she became an initiate of the Gamma Alpha chapter in the Spring of 2013. Dr. Dyson has an M.Ed. in Counseling and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision as well.
As the leader, Dr. Dyson is responsible for many essential parts and functions of the Foundation. Dr. Dyson commits her time and wisdom to the board in many ways - serving as the Chair, a member of the Marketing and Scholarship committees, along with volunteering for special events, programs and outreach opportunities. Alongside empowering generations through education with her time and service on the Board, Dr. Dyson is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a Mental Health Counselor at the Tikvah Center for Jewish Recovery and Healing.
Thank you for your time and service, Chair Dr. Sharazazi Dyson.

Take a moment to reflect on the thoughts, wisdom and words of Black historical figures - from educators, to politicians and civil rights leaders.
